1. Re: P3 Overnight Parking Safety. 5 years ago. Save. Generally in France, if a car park needs security it gets provided, and, anyway, European cars have become pretty secure in recent years. Just follow the normal rules of not leaving anything valuable (including a portable satnav and its mounting) on display and you shouldn't have any problems.

3. Don't get caught out by the car park If you are visiting by car, note that you must park on the mainland and take a (free) shuttle across the bridge. There is a separate car park for those staying overnight so make sure you obtain the access code from your hotel beforehand.

Vous pouvez déposer votre vélo au parc de stationnement et continuer votre chemin à pied ou en navette. Sachez toutefois que 70 porte-vélos sont mis à disposition à l'entrée du Mont, sur votre gauche (entrée des Fanils).

From the parking lots in Beauvoir, a shuttle bus (le Passeur) takes you across the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel and to the island of Mont Saint-Michel. The shuttle ( le Passeur ) runs frequently on a daily basis, from 7:30am until midnight, and the drop-off point is 450 meters from the medieval gates that provide entry into the village of Mont.

You can't. A car park with 4,000 parking spaces is provided on the mainland, over a mile from the mount. Parking is free from 6.30PM (only in low-season). We packed what we needed for overnight and our valuables in our carry-on bags and locked the others in the trunk. It is however a concern, and none of this helps you!
